I had made some wine for my son… (Video)

Arthur Ghazaryan began to feel ill on December 15, 2010 while serving in the army. Approximately 36 hours later, he lost consciousness and was taken to a military hospital. Despite an operation performed at the military hospital on December 17, Mr. Ghazaryan died without regaining consciousness on December 21. According to doctors, the reason for Mr. Ghazaryan’s death was a vascular malformation of the brain. An autopsy also concluded that brain disease was the reason for his death, that no violence had been committed against him, and that nobody was guilty of his death. Based on these findings, investigations into Mr. Ghazaryan’s death were closed on July 15, 2011 with the conclusion that nobody was guilty of his death. However, Mr. Ghazaryan’s parents question the legitimacy of the autopsy.

On November 19, 2012, they asked the prosecutor to reopen the case and appealed for a multilateral and objective approach that can clear up their concerns.

A trial concluded that Mr. Ghazaryan had a brain tumor but pictures attached to the medical report show no such tumor. In addition, no biopsy was performed on any tumor despite the fact that this would have been standard practice for a trial autopsy.

The parents saw that the right hand fingers of their son’s body were drained of blood but the trial doctor mentions in his report that no swelling was found in the body’s limbs. According to the trial doctors, Mr. Ghazaryan had suffered a brain disease before being drafted into the army but his parents claim this is impossible as it had not previously been discovered by doctors. As far as they knew, their son was healthy. They assert that Mr. Ghazaryan’s death was either not investigated at all or the investigation was fake.

This description is drawn from the November 18, 2012 plea to the prosecutor. See the video for more.
