Statistics on Deaths in the RA Armed Forces in the First Half of 2024
From January to June 2024, Peace Dialogue NGO managed to obtain information on 27 death cases registered in the RA Armed Forces.
According to the information provided by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Armenia, in the period from 1 January to 30 June 2024, 7 out of 27 registered deaths in the RA Armed Forces were classified as deaths not related to military service.
By comparing the number of deaths registered in the Armed Forces in the first half of each year over the last five years, it becomes obvious that the highest number of deaths occurred due to fatal incidents (52 cases), health issues (38 cases), and ceasefire violations (28 cases).
