The number of fatalities in RA armed forces for april-june 2013
Four fatalities have been recorded in the RA Armed Forces for the period from April to June of 2013.
Three of the fatalities occurred on RA territory and one in NK.
According to preliminary information, the death of one soldier was the result of an unfortunate accident involving electrocution, one soldier shot himself to death with his own service gun, and another two soldiers received fatal injuries inflicted by peers.
Based on monitoring performed during the period from January to June of 2013, a total of 13 non-combat deathcases were recorded, 9 during the period of January-March and4 during the period of April-June.
All the cases are currently under preliminary investigation.

In addition, another soldier was also injured by a gunshot but, fortunately, did not die.
To have a better idea about the situation in this sphere, it is necessary to mention that there were other incidents recorded during the first half of 2013.
Particularly, M. Hazroyan, a former soldier who was sentenced to life imprisonment for killing 4 soldiers and causing injuries to 3 others at Naorno Karabakh Jabrail military unit on November 19, 2010, committed suicide.
Another incident involving the RA Armed Forces also happened, as a result of which a civilian died. On June 1, at 23:40, the police received an emergency call that there were shots heard at House #1on David Bek street in Goris, near the house of Syunik governor Surik Khachatryan. As a result of those shootings, 43 year old Avetik Budaghyan, the former mayoral candidate in Goris, died immediately. His brother, NK military unit commander Artak Budaghyan, was hospitalized with injuries.
Three cases *of illegal violence (including sexual violence) against soldiers committed by officers were recorded. In addition, one case of missing soldier has been recorded.
