Fatalities in the military forces of Armenia for january-march of 2013

Based on monitoring performed during the period from January to March of 2013, nine fatalities of soldiers in the Armenian armed forces have been revealed.Six of these cases happened on RA territory and three in NK. Among these nine fatalities, one was the result of an automobile accident, two were the result of ceasefire violations, two were suicides (according to official statements, these were self-inflicted injuries using automatic weapons), two were the result of health problems (official MD’s statements refer to these cases as resulting from negligent application of health services), and two were fatal injuries inflicted by a peer.

(3) Fatal injuries inflicted by a peer — 2 cases;
(4) Suicide — 2 cases;
(5) Ceasefire violation — 2 cases.

All nine cases are currently under preliminary investigation.
